In the far southern end of Halong Bay, the archipelago of Lan Ha Bay is an endless of picturesque maze of limestone rocks emerging from emerald waters. The serene bay is offering a multitude of beaches, lagoons, limestone caves, and sleepy corners for kayakers to discover.
Leave Hanoi early in the morning, our Kayaking Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba National Park journey brings you to Cat Ba Island, where we aboard a private wooden boat for a 2-night cruising Lan Ha Bay. On our first day, we kayak in the southwest part Lan Ha Ba. We then paddle toward the border to Halong Heritage Site on the second day, the area is famous for Bright and Dark Cave. Before leaving the bay on the third day, we paddle in the eastern part of Lan Ha Bay, and swim on a private beach.

Day 1: Hanoi - Cat Ba Island - Lan Ha Bay
Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi then drive to Hai Phong City for a ferry to Cat Ba Island, aboard our wooden boat to cruise out to Lan Ha Bay.
After lunch on boat, we are now in the middle of Lan Ha Bay. It is best time to enjoy a sun bath before getting ready to paddle our kayak to get up close to the limestone islands. Depending on tidal permission of our kayaking day, your tour guide can lead you to visit a quiet lagoon behind a limestone cave. We can kayak as long as we want before heading back to our boat to enjoy the sun set. Dinner and overnight on boat. (L, D)
Day 2: Lan Ha Bay
Today, we cruise up north to the Dark and Bright Cave for a new active day. In this quiet cove of Lan Ha Bay, you can glide your own kayak through the Dark cave and see the tranquil lagoon inside (at tidal permission).
After lunch, you will cruise to Ho Ba Ham (Three Tunnel Cave) area, a shallow, three-cave lagoon wrapped with limestone walls and connected to the sea by three low-ceiling tunnels. It’s a great hidden spot for kayaking. You are free to kayak as much or as little as you like, but most people enjoy kayaking two or three hours in the morning and two or three in the afternoon. Day 3: Lan Ha Bay - Cat Ba Island - Hanoi
Morning coffee and breakfast then we paddle from our boat to a new area of the bay, we will paddle through several beaches and one more dark cave (at tidal permission), and Turtle Island. Lunch on our boat, we have enough time to relax or more swimming before cruising back to Cat Ba Island, drive to the ferry. Pick up in Hai Phong and drive back to Hanoi, CRUISING CAT BA NATIONAL PARK AND KAYAKING LAN HA BAY ends at your hotel around 17h30. (B, L)
