Ha Long Bay, or Bay of Descending Dragons, is about 150 km (100 mi) northeast of Hanoi. It is well-known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped by rainforests.
This mystical landscape of limestone islands is often compared to Guilin in China or Krabi in southern Thailand. In reality, Halong Bay is much more spectacular. Imagine 1969 islands rising from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin, dotted with wind- and wave-eroded grottoes, and their sparsely forested slopes ring with birdsong, and you have a vision of the breathtaking beauty.
Our Halong Bay Day Trip includes 4 hours cruising in Halong Bay on a private luxury boat, trip ends at your hotel around 8pm.
Depart your hotel for the 3.5-hour drive to Halong Bay, where we’ll aboard a private luxury wooden boat.
Along our drive, we can enjoy scenic views from rich farmlands of the Red River Delta, observe everyday life of local villagers working on the rice fields, and take photos of pigs being transferred to the market on motorbikes, or of famers ploughing rice fields with their water buffaloes.
Around 12h00, aboard the boat and start cruising out to the bay while lunch is being served.
In Halong Bay, some 989 of the islands out of 1969 islands have been given names as a result of interpretation of their unusual shapes. On our Halong Bay Day Trip, we cruise through those islands: the Dog Head, the Fighting Cock (symbol of Halong Bay) and the little Duck.
During our cruising, visit Thien Cung Cave (Cave of Heaven), one of the most gorgeous cave in Halong Bay. The cave is about 10,000 square meters with diversified interior structure, creating different types of floor and high ceiling with lots of stalactites and stalagmites in multiple forms.
We come back to the harbor around 4pm, drive back to Hanoi. Our Halong Bay Day Trip ends at your hotel around 8pm.
