  • Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
    Hanoi   Pick up and drive to your hotel

    Upon on your arrival in Noi Bai Airport, your tour guide will meet and take you to your hotel on a private car.

  • Day 2: Hanoi (B)

    Today you will be free to relax, or explore the surround areas at your own. A short walk from your hotel is the Hoan Kiem Lake, where local people enjoy different kinds of exercise in the early morning and the late afternoon.

  • Day 3: Hanoi City Tour - Sapa (B)
    Hanoi   City tour by car   Night train to Lao Cai

    Explore the city of Hanoi with your private guide and driver. Visit Ho Chi Minh complex where the first president of Vietnam lived and passed away in the simple house, the Temple of Literature, known as Vietnam’s first university, and Hoa Lo Prison (Hanoi Hilton) which showcase the use of the prison by both the French and North Vietnam during the Indochina wars. Experience the hustle and bustle of the Hanoi’s Old Quarter on foot or on rickshaw before coming back to your hotel in the afternoon. This evening you will take a night train to Lao Cai City.

  • Day 4: Sapa (B, L)
    Sapa     Drive to Sapa

    Arrival in Lao Cai City early in the morning, fresh up and have breakfast at a hotel before driving up the former French hill station of Sapa. Head out to the stunning mountains of the Hoang Lien range and enjoy your hike to Ta Phin village of the Red Dzao people.

  • Day 5: Sapa (B)

    Today you will have a full day trek to Thanh Kim valley, enjoy the most stunning mountain scenery of Sapa. Visit Lao Chai and Ta Van villages along the way, here you will come across a multitude of ethnic minorities. Chief among them are the Black H’mong, whose dress is black and indigo ornamented with silver jewelry and colorful brocade.

  • Day 6: Sapa - Hanoi - Halong Bay (B)
    Sapa   Night train back to Hanoi

    Drive to Bac Ha market, one of the colorful weekly markets in the area. The market is the focal point for ethnic minorities to meet friends, exchange goods, eat, and even indulge in some of the locally brewed spirits - which is well known as “ruou ngo” or corn wine. Back to Lao Cai city and take a night train back to Hanoi this evening.

  • Day 7: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D)
    Halong Bay   Drive to Halong Bay (3.5 hours)  

    Upon arrival in Hanoi freshen up and have breakfast at a hotel before driving out to Halong Bay. Aboard a traditional Vietnamese junk to cruise the bay. Spend the afternoon cruising through the magnificent limestone islands of Halong Bay, enjoy the sunset from the upper deck of your boat before having a wonderful dinner in the middle of the bay. Overnight on the boat. All meals are included during your stay on the boat.

  • Day 8: Halong Bay (B, L, D)

    Wake up to practice some tai chi with the crews and see the beautiful sunrise over the bay this morning. On this second day exploring Halong Bay, you will have chance to see the further areas of the bay and kayak to deserted lagoons and beaches.

  • Day 9: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Hue (B, L)
    Hue   Drive back to Hanoi (3.5 hours)   Fly to Hue (1 hour)

    Cruise back to the harbor, where your guide and driver take you back to Hanoi airport in time for your afternoon flight to Hue. On the drive to the airport by private car, stop and visit Yen Duc village which is famous for authentic Vietnamese life in rural area. Upon arrival in Hue, our guide and driver will pick up and drive you to the hotel.

  • Day 10: Hue (B)

    Start a Hue city tour with the Imperial City, where you will learn about the once royal power of Vietnam. Take a private dragon boat to cruise along the Perfume River, visit the famous Thien Mu Pagoda and the ancient tomb of Ming Mang King. The Imperial Hue city was heavily destroyed by bombs during the wars, but your tour guide will help make sense of the ruins and show you many interesting building still standing. 

  • Day 11: Hue - Hoi An (B)
    Hoi An   Drive to Hoi An (3 hours)

    Drive to Hoi An, the three and a half hours will pass abundant rice paddy fields and travel over the Hai Van Pass. On a clear day the pass offers spectacular views out to the Lang Co beach and the East Sea. Check in your hotel in Hoi An, where you can spend the afternoon to relax or enjoy a walk around the charms of Hoi An ancient town.

  • Day 12 + 13: Hoi An (B)

    Free at your own leisure.

  • Day 14: Hoi An - Danang - Cai Be (B)
    Saigon   Fly to Saigon (1 hour)   Drive to Cai Be (3 hours)

    This morning your private guide and driver will drive you to Danang airport to take a short flight to Saigon, meet your Saigon guide upon your arrival and head straight out to Cai Be in the Mekong River Delta where you aboard a cruise.

  • Day 15: Cai Be (B)

    Enjoy the morning cruise and visit a floating market along the way, where you will see hundreds of shops on boat and people hanging fruits they want to sell on the top of a bamboo. Back to the boat dock at noon and get transferred back to Saigon.

  • Day 16: Saigon (B)

    Saigon city tour. Visit the Independent Palace which is Saigon’s iconic building, the War Remnants Museum and the government houses with its vibrant yellow French style. You may want to see some of the hidden markets, and experience Saigon’s coffee style on the side walk with the local people. 

  • Day 17: Saigon Departure (B)
    Saigon     Pick up and drive to the airport

    Enjoy your breakfast and the last day in Vietnam, your tour guide and driver will pick you up and drive you to Tan Son Nhat airport in time for your onward flight.
