This legendary hotel is featuring two separately styled wings – the Historical Wing and the Opera Wing. In the Metropole Wing, the style is very colonial, there are many wooden finishes and very grand. The room choices here are the Luxury, Grand Luxury and Legendary Suite. The main different between rooms are the sizes. Luxury rooms on Historical Wing do not have separate baths and showers, which the Grand Luxuries and Legendary Suites do.
On the Opera Wing (this side of the hotel is nearly facing the Hanoi Opera House), the room choices are Premium, Grand Premium, and Suites. Like the other wing, the difference between rooms being the size. The Grand Premium and Suite rooms have separate showers and baths, the Premium rooms do not.
This hotel is located at a great location in the French Quarter, which is just a few steps away from the famous Hoan Kiem Lake and about 15 minutes on foot to the historic Old Quarter. It’s very easy to get anywhere in the city with the help of the superb doorman, who will be very happy to call you a taxi or a cyclo. Guests love to walk around the hotel to see the typical French buildings, and watching local people who are enjoying their afternoon around the lake.
